There’s something special about a last minute ski trip. You watch the snow forecast, you see a bluebird weekend coming, and boom … you’re on a plane two days later with an overstuffed hand luggage case. But which websites should you actually use to find and book that last minute ski trip?
Not all ski booking sites are built the same. Some are package giants with lift passes baked into every price; others are accommodation specialists where you build your own trip. To save you the hassle of comparing them all, I’ve weighed up the seven best websites for last minute ski trips in Europe against four key criteria:
- Range of options: how many resorts they feature
- Accommodation range: from budget digs to premium/luxury
- Extras included: lift pass, transfers, equipment hire and other add-ons
- Price range: what you’ll pay at the budget end vs the top end
Here’s how they stack up.
Quick comparison
1. Ski World — best for catered chalet bargains
Check Ski World’s last minute deals
Range of options: Ski World focuses on the classics across France and Austria with a strong line-up of big-name resorts like Val d’Isère, Tignes, Méribel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Alpe d’Huez, Val Thorens and St Anton. Their last minute deals page is refreshed regularly, with dates added up to six weeks before departure.
Accommodation range: This is chalet country. Ski World is the UK’s largest independent ski operator, and their strength is catered chalets, including an exclusive collection in snow-sure resorts, alongside hotels and self-catered apartments. Expect hot tubs, saunas and hearty chalet dinners, not just a bed.
Extras included: Their “Ski All-In” packages are where it gets interesting: lift pass and ski hire included, plus flights, transfers, hold baggage and chalet board. You can upgrade to full-area lift passes and intermediate/advanced hire for a supplement. Regular deals include free lift passes and money-off offers.
Price range: Mid to premium. Catered chalets with all the trimmings sit at the higher end (roughly £1,400pp+ all-inclusive), but last minute discounts of £150–£550pp appear regularly.
Best for: Chalet lovers and groups who want the whole thing, food, flights, transfers, pass, kit, sorted in one booking.
2. Sunweb — best for lift pass always included
See Sunweb’s last minute deals
Range of options: Dutch company Sunweb covers the big four Alpine nations, France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, plus Andorra, with their biggest presence in French mega-resorts like La Plagne, Val Thorens, Tignes and Les Deux Alpes, and Austrian favourites like St Anton and Mayrhofen.
Accommodation range: Solid budget-to-mid range, from cheap self-catering apartments to 4★ hotels. Their all-inclusive selection is small but hand-picked and close to the slopes. They’re refreshingly upfront: they don’t pretend to offer loads of luxury options.
Extras included: Sunweb’s headline trick is that the lift pass is always included in the price – literally no exceptions. Book a flight package to France and ski/board hire is thrown in too. Add a lowest-price guarantee and multiple World Ski Awards for “World’s Best Ski Tour Operator”, and the value case is strong.
Price range: Budget to mid. Last minute deals start from around £199pp, with up to £100pp off late getaways. These guys are my go to in all honesty, and the price really can’t be beat.
Best for: Budget-conscious skiers who hate surprise add-on costs — the pass is in the price, full stop.
3. SnowTrex — best for sheer volume of deals
Browse SnowTrex’s last minute offers
Range of options: Nobody features more resorts on this list than this German brand. SnowTrex lists around 500 ski resorts and 2,500 accommodations, in and beyond the Alps, so if you’re flexible about where the snow is, you’ll find something here.
Accommodation range: Broad – literally everything here. From value apartments and residences, family hotels, chalets, and even luxury wellness hotels. They’ve added a “Value Price” line for the cheapest picks.
Extras included: The lift pass is included in most offers, with ski lessons and equipment hire as bookable extras. Standout protections include a best-price guarantee, a snow guarantee (if the lifts in your pass area aren’t open, you’re covered), and free cancellation/rebooking within 5 days of booking. You can book up to the day before arrival.
Price range: Budget to mid, genuinely cheap. 7-night packages including lift pass start from around £222pp, and 2-night weekend breaks from £119pp.
Best for: Spontaneous self-drivers and families hunting the lowest headline price across a huge choice of resorts.
4. Esquiades.com — best for Andorra & the Pyrenees
View Esquiades.com’s last minute ski offers
Range of options: Spanish company Esquiades is the Pyrenees and Spain specialist — Grandvalira and Pal-Arinsal in Andorra, Formigal, Cerler, Boí Taüll, Sierra Nevada and more in Spain — plus a fast-growing Alps portfolio covering around 80 resorts across France, Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
Accommodation range: Mostly down-to-earth hotels and apartments from budget to 4–5★, with 113,000+ customer reviews to guide you. It’s more “great value hotel” than “luxury chalet” territory.
Extras included: Every package includes accommodation plus your ski pass — that’s the standard format here, and it keeps pricing honest. Equipment hire can be added during booking. Bonus for families: kids’ free lift pass offers in Andorra (one free child pass per adult with a 3–4 day pass).
Price range: Budget to mid, and hard to beat — last minute escapes start from €101pp for 2 nights + 2 days’ lift pass in the Catalan Pyrenees, €120pp in Andorra. You can even book same-day and ski the next morning.
Best for: Cheap, cheerful snow fixes in Andorra and the Spanish/Catalan Pyrenees, and UK/European skiers happy to self-drive or book their own travel.
5. Heidi — best for customisation and choice
Search Heidi’s last minute ski holidays
Range of options: Heidi is an online ski travel agency with 350+ resorts — not just France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, but also Andorra, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Poland, Scandinavia and even Canada. You can book up to two days before departure.
Accommodation range: Huge… budget self-catering residences right through to luxury private chalets in Val Thorens and Courmayeur, with filters for everything from hot tubs to ski-in/ski-out access.
Extras included: Chalet and hotel packages include flights and transfers, and you add lift passes, lessons and gear hire in one booking. Clever touches for the last minute crowd: live “Snow Scores” so you can chase the best conditions, a price match guarantee, and a £99pp deposit to lock things in.
Price range: Budget to premium. Last minute deals start around £313pp (flights and transfers included), climbing steeply for the swankier chalets.
Best for: Flexible, spontaneous skiers who want to self-build a trip — pick any duration, any day, any resort — with flights and transfers already in the price.
6. Ski France — best for French Alps accommodation deals
Range of options: France only, but that focus pays off if this is where you wanna go. Find 78+ destinations and 20+ resorts across the French Alps, including the full Three Valleys line-up (Méribel, Val Thorens, Courchevel), plus Alpe d’Huez, Val d’Isère, La Plagne, Flaine, La Rosière and Les Deux Alpes.
Accommodation range: Impressively wide for a specialist: budget-friendly apartments, contactless catered chalets, family hotels, and premium catered chalets new for 2026/27. With 38 years of experience behind them, they know their properties inside out.
Extras included: This is accommodation-led booking, so you organise your own travel — but they sweeten the pot with regular lift pass deals (including 50% off lift pass offers), flash sales of up to 55% off, low deposits and free cancellation.
Price range: Budget to premium. Apartments can be had cheap, especially in their flash sales, while premium catered chalets in Val d’Isère sit firmly at the luxury end. Prices are quoted per accommodation, so split between a group and the maths works nicely.
Best for: Self-drive and independent travellers who want deep choice of French Alps accommodation and don’t need a flight package.
7. Estiber — best for Pyrenees packages on a budget
Range of options: Estiber covers more than 100 destinations, concentrated on the Pyrenees — French (Font Romeu, Saint-Lary, Les Angles, Ax-3 Domaines), Catalan (Boí Taüll, La Molina, Masella) and Aragonese (Formigal-Panticosa, Cerler, Astún-Candanchú) — with over a million customers across 41 years in the game.
Accommodation range: Mostly apartments and 2–4★ hotels, including some lovely spa hotels like the Snö Aragón Hills. Not a luxury play, but the quality-to-price ratio is excellent and reviews are strong.
Extras included: Everything is packaged as hotel/apartment + ski pass by default — the lift pass is never an add-on here. You can spread payment in instalments, which is a nice touch for bigger group trips.
Price range: Budget to mid — some of the cheapest full packages in this whole line-up. Weekend breaks from €150pp with ski pass, and full weeks in the French Pyrenees from around €259pp.
Best for: Skiers in Spain, southern France or anyone wanting an affordable, low-fuss alternative to the Alps — think short transfer, empty pistes, wallet-friendly prices.
So, which site should you book with?
- Cheapest headline price: SnowTrex, Estiber and Esquiades.com — all regularly package 7 nights + lift pass for a few hundred pounds.
- Best all-round value: Sunweb — the lift pass is always included, so the price you see is the price you pay.
- Best for luxury chalets: Ski World — catered chalets with the extras bundled in.
- Best for choice and flexibility: Heidi — 350+ resorts, book two days out, snow scores to find the best powder.
- Best for France specifically: Ski France — 20+ French resorts from budget apartments to premium catered chalets.
- Best for the Pyrenees: Estiber — unbeatable hotel + pass packages south of the Alps.
Whichever you choose, the last minute golden rules stay the same: be flexible on dates and resort, self-drive if you can (it opens up the cheapest deals), watch the snow forecasts rather than the calendar, and book fast when you spot a deal — the good ones go in hours, not days.
